Melanese Marr-Thomas

Melanese Marr-Thomas is an entrepreneur, passionate cook, consistent encourager, and starry-eyed dreamer. She is the co-founder, co-owner and head chef of Sol Familia Mobile Kitchen, a Temple Hills, MD food truck and catering business started with her husband, Charles. 

All food is based on the experience Melanese gained in the kitchen of her grandmother, Ms. Vonceil Williams AKA “MeMama” from the early age of five. MeMama’s joy, of providing great food to family, neighbors, friends and even strangers is legendary in the Lincoln Garden neighborhood of West Tampa, FL. Melanese’s greatest joy is her 10-year marriage to Charles Thomas and being a mother to  6 children.
